MENU
At Lime Sustainable Supplies, we understand the unique needs of the education sector, from nurseries and primary schools to colleges and universities. Our mission is to make it simple and impactful for educational institutions to adopt greener practices in their cleaning and maintenance operations.
Top of the class
We offer a carefully curated range of sustainable cleaning products and supplies designed to meet the highest standards of hygiene while protecting the planet. From plastic-free toilet rolls and non-toxic hand soaps for washrooms to low-VOC paints and energy-efficient lighting for classrooms and facilities, our solutions help institutions reduce their environmental footprint without compromising on quality or safety.
Smart spaces
With every purchase, Lime contributes to tree planting and carbon offset schemes. This initiative not only reduces your carbon footprint but also serves as a powerful educational tool, encouraging students and staff alike to understand and appreciate the importance of sustainability in action.
Our live sustainability data below shows you the real-world impact we’re making together by offsetting on behalf of our customers as they buy sustainably. These figures demonstrate the number of trees planted, kilograms of CO₂ saved, and total carbon offset in metric tonnes, tangible results through our partnership with Ecologi and your ongoing support.
Our Mission
Our mission is to build a greener future by planting trees, reducing carbon emissions, and creating a cleaner earth.

Greener learning
Educational environments demand high standards of cleanliness, safety, and environmental responsibility. That’s why we’ve developed a tailored product offering designed to meet the specific needs of schools, colleges, and universities. Our solutions balance performance, affordability, and sustainability, empowering education providers to create healthier spaces while supporting their environmental and operational goals.
Our child-safe, non-toxic cleaning solutions are ideal for use in education. From classrooms and nurseries, to seminar rooms and lecture halls, where maintaining a clean environment is essential without compromising the health and safety of young learners and staff.
We provide cost-effective concentrated cleaning systems that help reduce packaging waste, lower storage demands, and provide long-lasting value for educational institutions managing multiple facilities. For instance, our popular range of BioHygiene products are designed to maximise cleaning performance while minimising environmental impact. These products utilise cutting-edge biotechnology, powered by natural bacteria and enzymes that break down organic matter at the molecular level, delivering deep and long-lasting cleaning results without the need for harsh chemicals.
Our sustainable paper products, including plastic-free toilet rolls and eco-conscious paper towels, are designed to meet the demands of high-traffic washrooms and staff areas while supporting environmental goals. Thanks to their high absorbency and strength, less product is needed per use, meaning fewer refills, reduced waste, and long-term savings. Unlike traditional paper that can easily clog pipes and urinals, our specially selected paper breaks down more effectively, helping prevent costly and disruptive blockages. Explore our best-selling Tork product range to ensure your washrooms remain well-stocked and hygienic even in the busiest environments.
We offer a wide range of ESG-compliant products that align with your school or university’s sustainability policies, making it easier to measure, improve, and promote your green initiatives.
Where learning shines
Educational institutions face unique challenges in maintaining safe, clean environments while also striving to meet sustainability goals. Lime Sustainable Supplies supports this mission by offering targeted solutions that provide long-term value and environmental impact.
Our cleaning supplies are formulated to be gentle and safe for everyday use around children, young learners, and staff, helping to create healthier learning environments free from harsh chemicals and strong fumes. One standout example would be our popular Biohygiene range which is formulated with little to no VOCs, reducing indoor air pollution and avoiding synthetic fragrances, choosing natural or no fragrance instead.
Aligning with sustainability standards that parents, students, and communities increasingly value. By choosing Lime, educational institutions position themselves as leaders in environmental responsibility, reinforcing their commitment to preparing students for a more sustainable future and demonstrating their values to key stakeholders.
We provide detailed, location-specific environmental reporting, allowing schools, colleges, and universities to measure, track, and proudly communicate their sustainability efforts with their wider community. Our ESG reporting includes detailed breakdowns of your product usage, associated carbon savings, waste reduction statistics, and the impact of your support for tree-planting and reforestation projects through us. We track progress against sustainability targets, giving you clear insights and credible data to share with stakeholders, governors, or for public reporting.
Helping schools choose better
At Lime Sustainable Supplies, every product we offer is carefully assessed using key sustainability criteria. Each product is scored with either 0, 5, or 10 points per criterion, reflecting its environmental and ethical impact. We then total the points and calculate a percentage against the maximum score available. This percentage determines the product’s Leaf Rating, giving schools and educational institutions a clear, transparent way to choose more sustainable supplies. This approach helps the education sector make informed, planet-positive purchasing decisions that align with their values and sustainability goals.
