Carbon offset partnership

This month we revisited some important carbon projects! Lime Supply has recently partnered with leading environmental organisation Ecologi to tackle the carbon challenge. Not only to measure the impact of our sustainable journey but to empower you to make informed choices and embrace change for a greener future. As of March, our reforestation efforts are climbing, and making a tangible impact through our contributions. Ecologi provides SMEs like us with support to sponsor whatever type of environmental projects mean most to a business, which in our case would be the funding of tree planting schemes and community-based carbon offset projects. Here at Lime, we side with Ecologi’s mission to inspire and empower businesses to accelerate global climate action. So, we are here to show you how our impact feeds into collective action.

The Matavén REDD+ project (Protection of the Matavén forest in eastern Colombia)

The purpose of this project is to protect 1,150,212 hectares of tropical forest in the Indigenous Reservation of the Matavén Forest. Colombia is renowned for its richness in biodiversity; accounting for an estimated 10% of the world’s flora and faunal species. It is one of only 12 countries globally that are considered megadiverse. It is estimated that Colombia’s rich ecosystems contain over 40,000 species of plants. Solar photovoltaic power project in Indonesia

carbon sustainable project This project is situated in Pringgabaya, on the island of Lombok, Indonesia. The project provides renewable solar energy to a grid which is currently dominated by fossil fuels, helping to displace those polluting energy sources with cleaner power. The project has a total installed capacity of 42 MW, across four solar installations: three of 7 MW and one large one of 21 MW. By providing this electricity to the grid and displacing energy produced through fossil fuels, this solar installation generates emissions reductions estimated at just 34,000 tonnes CO2e per year.
