Over in Uganda, we’re backing a community-driven initiative to revive forests on the iconic Mount Elgon. These forests are crucial for preventing soil erosion, maintaining water cycles, and providing resources for local families.

Mount Elgon’s forests are vital for water regulation and soil fertility, yet deforestation has left the region vulnerable to erosion and water scarcity.

Protecting and Restoring Andean Forests in Bolivia

High in the Andes, these forests play a critical role in carbon sequestration and are home to unique species found nowhere else on Earth. Sadly, unsustainable agriculture and logging have taken a toll.
